About Housing Authority Of The City of Fort Lauderdale

Welcome to the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale! The Housing Authority has been committed to providing safe, decent, and affordable housing to low-income residents in Broward County since 1938. In addition to offering affordable rental housing and several public housing sites, the Housing Authority administers a number of programs, such as the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, the Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program, and the Step-Up Apprenticeship Initiative, to promote self-sufficiency and economic opportunity for local residents. The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale is to assist low-income families with safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve their lives.
